Craig Johnson, MDA board-certified Family Practice physician. He graduated with honors from Stanford University and received his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Johnson is fluent in Spanish and received awards for humanism in medicine and public service. His medical research on caring for underserved populations has taken him to the outback of Australia and rural Alaska.
Dr. Johnson has also donated significant time to serve the people of Oaxaca, Mexico and Guatemala, most recently caring for leprosy and spinal cord injury patients in the Kingdom of Nepal for two years with his family. Dr. Johnson previously directed the Department of Maternal Health in the Family Practice residency Program at White Memorial Medical Center. As a faculty member he was awarded for his teaching skills. Dr. Johnson is married and has three children. |
Lisa Thackwell, PA-CA board-certified physician assistant. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and received her master's degree in physician assistant studies at Midwestern Universitiy in Illinois. Physician Assistants are trained to take care of a variety of diseases under the supervision of a physician. They are required to take a national certification exam every six years and maintain continuing medical education each year.
Lisa has experience in family medicine as well as the specialty of allergy and asthma. She speaks Spanish and she strongly believes in patient education and disease prevention. Lisa is married and has two children. |
Sherry Kirchheimer, FNP-CA board-certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated from Colorado College and received her Masters in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University with honors. Prior to coming to SSFWC, she worked in pulmonology, was on staff at Huntington Hospital and has a strong interest in asthma education.
Sherry is also licensed as a clinical laboratory scientist and has worked in several labs in both the pediatric and adult setting. She has a strong commitment to volunteering in her community and is currently involved with the Assistance League, St. Bede Church and Union Station Homeless Services. Sherry is married and has three children. |
